Terms & Conditions – Door Access Supplies Ltd

1. General Terms

1.1

The contract shall be deemed concluded upon receipt of a written confirmation by Door Access Supplies Ltd, whereby they accept the order (order confirmation), or upon receipt of the ordering party’s written declaration whereby they accept the offer submitted by Door Access Supplies Ltd.

1.2

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery shall be binding insofar as they have been stipulated as applicable in the offer or in the order confirmation and have been submitted to the ordering party.

The ordering party explicitly waives the use of their own General Terms and Conditions, their General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery or any other pre-worded contract terms and conditions.

1.3

Any agreements and statements of legal relevance between the contracting parties must be made in writing in order to become valid in law. Written statements and declarations transferred using electronic media or saved on electronic media shall be regarded as equally binding.

1.4

If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery proves to be wholly or partially invalid, the contracting parties shall replace this provision with another one which comes as close as possible to the intended legal and economic purpose of the original provision.


2. Orders and Conclusion of Contract

2.1

A contract shall be deemed concluded if, upon receipt of an order, Door Access Supplies Ltd confirms acceptance of the order in writing.

2.2

Offers shall be regarded as binding for the duration stated within the quotation. This only applies to written quotations. Quotations that do not stipulate a validity period are non-binding.

2.3

Door Access Supplies Ltd reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion.

2.4

Orders may be subject to fraud prevention and security verification checks prior to dispatch.


3. Scope of Supply

3.1

The order confirmation shall determine the scope of products and services supplied. Any materials or services not expressly included shall be invoiced separately.

3.2

Engineering designs, specifications, product availability and technical details may be subject to change without notice.

3.3

Certain products may be fulfilled directly by manufacturers, distributors or third-party suppliers on behalf of Door Access Supplies Ltd.


4. Technical Documents & Product Information

4.1

Brochures, images, specifications, manuals and catalogues are not binding unless otherwise agreed in writing. Technical information shall only be binding where expressly guaranteed.

4.2

Door Access Supplies Ltd reserves all rights to technical documents, drawings and specifications provided to the ordering party. The ordering party shall not disclose these documents to any third party or use them for any purpose other than that agreed without prior written consent.

4.3

Where no order is placed, all documents supplied in connection with a quotation or enquiry must be returned upon request.

4.4

Whilst every effort is made to ensure website accuracy, Door Access Supplies Ltd reserves the right to correct pricing errors, specification inaccuracies, product descriptions or availability information without prior notice.

4.5

Customers are responsible for verifying product compatibility and suitability prior to purchase. Technical guidance provided by Door Access Supplies Ltd is offered in good faith but does not constitute engineering approval, certification or design responsibility.


5. Cancellation of Orders & Refund Policy

5.1

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing prior to dispatch. Special-order, non-stock, custom-made or manufacturer-configured items may not be cancellable.

5.2

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, Door Access Supplies Ltd must be notified within 2 days of receiving the delivery.

5.3

Returned items must be complete, unused and in fully resaleable condition. Returns are made at the buyer’s expense unless agreed otherwise.

5.4

A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to returned goods.

5.5

The following items are non-returnable unless faulty:

  • Special-order products
  • Custom-configured products
  • Programmed equipment
  • Cut-to-length cable
  • Bespoke items
  • Discontinued products
  • Electrical products showing signs of installation or use

6. Prices

6.1

All prices quoted by Door Access Supplies Ltd are strictly net, excluding VAT, carriage, insurance, customs duties, installation and commissioning unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6.2

Door Access Supplies Ltd reserves the right to amend pricing in the event of supplier increases, exchange rate fluctuations, freight increases or unforeseen cost changes beyond reasonable control.

6.3

Quotations are valid for 28 days unless otherwise stated.


7. Terms of Payment

7.1

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full prior to dispatch.

7.2

Approved trade account customers shall pay invoices within agreed credit terms.

7.3

Payments must be made in GBP (£) without deduction, withholding or offset.

7.4

Card processing charges may apply depending on transaction method and provider fees.

7.5

Door Access Supplies Ltd does not store credit card details and does not share customer details with third parties except where necessary to fulfil orders.

7.6

In the event of overdue payment, Door Access Supplies Ltd reserves the right to suspend deliveries, withdraw credit facilities and charge statutory interest and recovery costs.

7.7

Door Access Supplies Ltd reserves the right to withdraw or suspend trade credit facilities without notice.


8. Retention of Title

8.1

All goods supplied remain the property of Door Access Supplies Ltd until paid for in full.

8.2

The ordering party shall take all necessary measures to protect the ownership rights of Door Access Supplies Ltd until payment is received in full.

8.3

The ordering party shall insure and maintain the goods in good condition until ownership transfers.


9. Delivery Times

9.1

Delivery times commence upon order acceptance and receipt of all necessary information and payment.

9.2

Delivery times may be extended where delays arise due to:

  • Supplier shortages
  • Manufacturing delays
  • Customer amendments
  • Transport disruption
  • Government restrictions
  • Customs delays
  • Events beyond reasonable control

9.3

Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.


10. Delivery, Shipment & Insurance

10.1

Door Access Supplies Ltd shall use appropriate packaging methods for all deliveries.

10.2

Special delivery or insurance requests must be made in writing prior to dispatch.

10.3

Door Access Supplies Ltd reserves the right to deliver orders in multiple consignments.

10.4

Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery to the carrier or customer delivery address.

10.5

Claims for damaged or missing goods must be reported in writing within 2 working days of receipt.

10.6

Standard delivery services are typically fulfilled via recognised courier services including DPD, DHL, UPS, Royal Mail or equivalent providers.

10.7

International customers are responsible for all import duties, customs charges, local taxes or certification requirements applicable in the destination country.


11. Inspection of Goods

The ordering party must inspect goods within 2 working days of receipt and notify Door Access Supplies Ltd immediately in writing of any shortages, defects or damages. Failure to do so shall constitute acceptance of the goods.


12. Installation, Compliance & Technical Responsibility

12.1

Door Access Supplies Ltd supplies products only unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

12.2

Door Access Supplies Ltd accepts no responsibility for installation, commissioning, programming, testing, certification, maintenance or ongoing compliance of supplied products.

12.3

It is the responsibility of the purchaser, installer and end user to ensure products are installed and operated in accordance with:

  • Manufacturer instructions
  • Current regulations
  • Industry standards
  • Health & safety requirements
  • Applicable legislation

12.4

Door Access Supplies Ltd accepts no liability for:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Incorrect wiring
  • Product misuse
  • Unsafe configurations
  • Failure to comply with EN16005, BS7036 or other relevant standards
  • Improper maintenance
  • Installer error

12.5

Technical advice provided verbally, by email or through the website is given in good faith and does not constitute design approval, engineering certification or installation instruction responsibility.


13. Warranty & Liability

13.1

Door Access Supplies Ltd warrants that supplied products are free from manufacturing defects at the time of dispatch.

13.2

Warranty periods are subject to manufacturer terms and may vary by product.

13.3

Unless otherwise specified, warranty applies from the date of dispatch.

13.4

Where products are confirmed faulty within warranty, Door Access Supplies Ltd may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the item
  • Replace the item
  • Issue a credit or refund

13.5

Warranty becomes void where:

  • Products are incorrectly installed
  • Products are modified
  • Products are misused
  • Damage results from external causes
  • Manufacturer instructions are not followed

13.6

Door Access Supplies Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or financial losses including:

  • Loss of profit
  • Business interruption
  • Installation costs
  • Downtime
  • Labour costs
  • Third-party costs
  • Delayed project completion

13.7

Liability shall not exceed the value of the supplied goods.

13.8

Door Access Supplies Ltd shall not be responsible for delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers, couriers or events beyond reasonable control.


14. Force Majeure

Door Access Supplies Ltd shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control including supplier shortages, transport disruption, cyber incidents, natural disasters, pandemics, industrial disputes, government restrictions or utility failures.


15. Business Customers

15.1

Products supplied by Door Access Supplies Ltd are intended primarily for trade and business customers.

15.2

Consumer rights apply only where legally required under applicable UK legislation.


16. Intellectual Property

All website content, images, technical information, branding, documents and product data remain the property of Door Access Supplies Ltd or respective manufacturers and may not be copied, reproduced or redistributed without written permission.


17. Privacy Policy

Door Access Supplies Ltd processes customer data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.


18. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with English Law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
