About Acre Security & ACT

Acre Security is a global physical security technology company with a history spanning access control, intrusion, visitor management and connected security systems. Acre was founded in 2012 and has grown through a series of acquisitions and technology investments designed to bring established security brands and platforms together.

ACT became part of Acre in 2016, when Acre acquired the Dublin-based access control manufacturer to strengthen its position in the UK and Irish markets. The ACT name remains well known among installers for straightforward, reliable access control hardware, particularly standalone keypads, digital codelocks and controller-based access systems. Acre Security adopted its current brand identity in 2023, while many ACT product references continue to be widely recognised in the trade.

Acre / ACT Access Control Products

Our Acre / ACT collection currently focuses on professional standalone coded-entry products, including:

• ACT5e standalone keypads for simple single-door PIN-code access control
• ACT10 two-door standalone keypads for installations requiring control of two separate doors
• V42 standalone keypads, including replacements for older K42 references
• K44 Duo keypads for two-door coded access applications
• Flush-mounting accessories such as the BB3 mounting kit for compatible keypad models

Acre / ACT keypads are suited to offices, apartment buildings, staff entrances, storerooms, commercial premises and other controlled doors where dependable standalone PIN access is required.

When selecting a replacement keypad, check the exact model number, operating voltage, number of doors, required user-code capacity, relay outputs, mounting arrangement and whether the keypad will be installed internally or externally.

Browse our wider access control keypads and fob readers, electric strikes, maglocks and magnetic door locks, exit buttons and door release controls and access control power supplies.

If you are replacing an existing ACT or Acre keypad, search using the complete model number or legacy ACT reference to help identify the correct compatible product.
