Fireco Dorgard DG2000 Fire Door Retainer with Floorplate (3 Colours)

The Fireco Dorgard DG2000 is a self-contained, battery-operated acoustic fire door retainer that holds a suitable self-closing fire door open and releases when it detects a sustained compatible fire alarm. The existing door closer then returns the door to the closed position.

This version is supplied with a standard flat floorplate, providing a defined contact point for the plunger on floors where a positive location is useful.

Standard Dorgard or SmartSound?

The standard DG2000 is suited to buildings where the fire alarm is clearly audible and routine background noise is reasonably controlled. It listens for a sustained alarm sound and releases when that alarm is detected.

SmartSound is the better choice in busy or noisy environments. Its enhanced sound recognition filters common background noise such as vacuum cleaners, machinery and general building activity, helping it identify the fire alarm more accurately and reducing nuisance releases.
