Fireco Dorgard DG2000 Fire Door Retainer (3 Colours)
The Fireco Dorgard DG2000 is a self-contained, battery-operated acoustic fire door retainer. It holds a suitable self-closing fire door open during normal use and releases when it detects a sustained compatible fire alarm, allowing the existing door closer to shut the door.
This is the standard device-only DG2000. A flat floorplate is not included with this version.
Standard Dorgard or SmartSound?
The standard DG2000 is ideal where the fire alarm can be heard clearly and background noise is reasonably controlled. It listens for a sustained alarm sound and releases the door when the alarm is detected.
Choose Dorgard SmartSound for busier or noisier buildings. SmartSound adds advanced sound recognition that filters common background noise such as vacuum cleaners, machinery and general building activity. This helps it distinguish the fire alarm from everyday noise and can reduce nuisance or unwanted door releases.
