Fireco Dorgard SmartSound Fire Door Retainer with Floorplate (2 Colours)
The Fireco Dorgard SmartSound is a battery-operated acoustic fire door retainer for busy buildings where background noise can otherwise cause unnecessary releases. It holds a suitable self-closing fire door open and releases when it recognises a compatible sustained fire alarm.
This version includes a standard flat floorplate to give the plunger a defined contact point.
Why Choose SmartSound?
SmartSound's key advantage is its ability to filter normal background noise and identify the fire alarm more intelligently. Standard Dorgard responds to a sustained alarm sound; SmartSound adds enhanced sound recognition to distinguish that alarm from common noises such as vacuum cleaners, machinery and everyday building activity.
For schools, care homes, hotels, offices and other noisy environments, this can mean fewer nuisance releases without losing the convenience of a wire-free acoustic fire door retainer.
Important: SmartSound may not be compatible with some mechanical fire alarm bells. Confirm alarm compatibility before ordering.
